ABOUT SRP
The world's
number one pro-South publisher
Sea Raven
Press is an independent book publishing company located in Franklin,
Tennessee, where we launched our company in 2010. A member of the
Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA), we specialize in
thought provoking books that stimulate and entertain while educating and
enlightening. We are proud to be the publisher of award-winning
Southern historian and author Lochlainn Seabrook, the 2011 winner of the
Jefferson Davis Historical Gold Medal.
Our current genres are the American Civil War (from the Southern point
of view only), biography, social issues, the paranormal, spirituality,
mythology, thealogy (female-based religion), family histories,
genealogy, and etymology. This list will continue to grow.

PROSPECTIVE AUTHORS
If you're a good writer with something original to say,
whatever the topic, we may be interested in your manuscript. Although our main focus is pro-South and South-positive books, we're also interested in any
subject that shatters preconceived notions and provides alternatives to
mainstream thinking. To submit a book proposal, email us first.
We'll email you our submission guidelines. Before
contacting us please consider the following:
1. We only publish nonfiction (no poetry or fiction at this time).
2. We only publish adult books (no children's books at this time).
3. Regarding Civil War manuscripts, we only publish books from the
South's perspective.
4. Regarding regional manuscripts concerning the South, we're only interested in books that
portray Dixie in a positive light.
5. Manuscripts need to be at least 100 single-spaced pages (to
accommodate a spine).
6. We control all aspects of the publishing process, from the cover and
graphic art to the design and layout.
BOOKS COVERS
Need a cover for your upcoming book? We design book
covers from scratch or according to your specifications. All
of our designs are attractive, Hi-Res, and printer-ready. We
work quickly and professionally. Examples of our work can be
