Courtesy of the previous owners, the White family, Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest and his men breakfasted here on the morning of Nov. 29, 1864, the day of the Battle of Spring Hill. White Hall was used over a year earlier as a temporary headquarters by Confederate General Earl Van Dorn. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 5, 1984.
